Timeless Fishing

You never forget some things. Though the times and environment may change, these actions remain perpetual yet comforting in their practice. Fishing has always been a timeless hobby since I came to this world and remains as such to this very day. I’ve cherished the craft ever since I purchased my first rod from Malcolm centuries ago. Yet it seems like only yesterday when my much younger self plunged the newly purchased lure into the Adellia Stream on that warm summer day.

Fishing has always brought Milletians together and this quest was no different as we camped out on the frigid ice with our goals aligned. I had forgotten how pristine the Physis skylines were as consequence of spending all my recent time in the mines but was glad that this task brought me to the surface once again to behold the spectacular views on the Reus River. Really, Iria never ceases to captivate the eye and impress!

Thanks Adult Life

Tbh, I have no time to update this anymore let alone play Mabi, sorry to say.

Returning Home

As I gaze out the foggy windows of my small cottage, nostalgia sweeps over me. It’s been at least several decades since I last settled down in the area and though the town feels more sparsely populated than it used to, the towering mountains and bubbling ovens remain as they always have.

After nearly half a decade of being on the raid front-lines, weariness had crept over me like a slow poison and had slowly dulled my mind. It’s interesting that Milletians what with their continuously regenerated bodies can feel “tiredness” but I suppose the soul can only endure so much even with an immortal body to house it. Though it was saddening to leave my companions on the battlefield, as true friends we all knew that this was simply a “See you later” and not a true “Goodbye”. As I’ve always believed, if the fighting spirit of a Milletian remains, you’ll be destined to encounter that person again.

I recently moved back into my home on the northern part of Taillteann to once again take part in the delights alchemy has to offer – including the newer advances pioneered by Vate. At present, I’ve already mastered the use of the guard cylinder and its ability to summon the hydra, though I’m about three fourths of the way towards completing the enhancement skills golden time and elemental wave. If you’re an avid reader of this journal, you’ll be happy to hear that after quite a number of decades talking about it, I’ve finally gotten around to completing rain casting as well. Though long overdue, this skill was really the last component of truly completing my production skill capabilities and will hopefully serve me and others well in the future. Last to mention, I’m currently making headway on the frozen blast skill and striving to obtain the heat buster skill soon. Gratifyingly, the teachings of Vate are streamlining training as golden time allows for multiple enemies to be frozen at once, making defeating enemies under the skill’s influence a much quicker task.

It’s funny, reading back on this journal makes you realize how old you really are. Though I should probably show more concern at my age, I can’t help but chuckle at the fact that my 150th birthday is only a few years away. The journey has been a long one and though there have been lonely times, I honestly wouldn’t trade it for anything. And it’s still not over! I’ll strive to train my alchemy diligently over the next couple of years and see where that takes me.

Sharp cold air pierced my lungs as I inhaled the morning air deeply. Like most of the Iria Continent, the breeze of the Maiz Prairie was charged with the energy of the vast wilderness that stretched across the land. And now as dawn broke over the horizon, the land’s spirit was at its peak. I stood at the base of the camp for several minutes, paralyzed by both the chill of the morning air and the incredible view of the rising sun. As mesmerizing as the moment was, I took care to savor the stillness before me as I knew the day – like many of the previous – would be anything but peaceful.

The noises of a waking encampment soon broke the tranquil atmosphere and I soon began to mentally prepare myself for the day ahead. Anticipation soon filled my chest as I watched my comrades emerge from their tents to prepare breakfast. Their demeanor was anything but composed in their drowsy state yet their eyes glinted with excitement for the day ahead. I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself as I recalled how we all ended up here in the middle of the wilderness – by our own free will at that.

Roughly a quarter of a century ago, I heard whispers of a guild that focused most of its resources into raiding campaigns in the Iria Continent. This information itself was not particular special; in fact, it was to be expected as many guilds partook in such hunts on a routine basis. The allure of the enchantments dropped by these beasts was the primary incentive for most Milletians to fight though a select few individuals sought materials to craft the finest of weapons. Naturally, my own ambitions stemmed from these two incentives as well and I had been searching for a party with which I could partake in these raids with. Thus, my attention was drawn to the Steadfast Guild.

Unlike most campaigns that typically lasted a year at most, the Steadfast Guild differentiated itself from all other guilds by their commitment to pursue and slay the dragons of the land. By the time the rumor of the legendary raiding guild reached my ears, their campaign was supposedly approaching its tenth year. The drive and determination of this guild excited the adventurous spirit within me and it was not before long that I scouted their party out in the wilderness of Iria with the intent to join. The first contact with the guild – like most exchanges – was daunting and upon explaining my intent, I waited apprehensively as they discussed in private what their course of action would be. To my surprise, they welcomed me with open arms and it wasn’t long before we were on the hunt and fighting as allies together on the battlefield.

As we slew more and more dragons and acquired great sums of wealth, I slowly began to achieve my original goals. Before long, I had acquired all the desired enchantments and was even lucky enough to pluck the eye of Bhafel intact from his massive skull! The organ was immediately used to craft the coveted Bhafel Hunter bow – my current weapon of choice to this day.

Though I had originally partook in raids to acquire items, I’ve since decided to stay with the raid party indefinitely. These last few years have been anything but boring and there is hardly a dull moment in the company of the Steadfast Guild. Perhaps in the future, I shall take some time off from the battlefield to improve my skills and abilities but for now I am content to spend the days fighting with my dear companions as we enjoy each day even more than the last.

Draft that I will try to expand on later but I’m awfully tired right now.

Hi I’m Alive

But I don’t have too much content to update on as most of my days are passed farming gold. I do apologize for the lack of updates but I was going through some pretty tumultuous stuff in my personal life. Following the upcoming American holiday, I do hope to find some more time to write again.

Ever Closer

In this lifetime, I was able to get even closer to the dexterity cap and made progress on the magic craft and engineering life skills. With my current pace, I believe that all dexterity-related skills should be finished within a few more lifetimes and then I can go about ranking other skills! I’m not exactly sure which skills I’ll be ranking but it will be a fun challenge to look forward to!

Magic Craft - Rank 2

Final Shot - Rank 1

Singing - Rank 2

Rare Minerology - Rank 3

Hillwen Engineering - Rank A

Strength - Level 38

Social Level 29

I was also able to rank my Emain Macha merchant rating to the current cap and now the only town that remains to be ranked is Tara! I don’t plan to actively rank the town as I’m sure it’ll rank itself in due time but once I do, all towns will have a max merchant rating level!

Emain - Level 9

Before I move into other topics, I would first like to thank Jiihae for helping me buy a Dowra Outfit. I’ve wanted this particular piece of clothing for quite some time now and now it’s finally within my grasp! Jiihae also gave me the headpiece to complete the outfit – much thanks for that as well! I’ll likely use this outfit most while training engineering and rare mineralogy but it’s sure to see quite a bit of usage in the near future.

Dowra Outfit

Moving on to equipment related projects, I was able to make a pair of Officer Automatic Dowra SE guns and a High Powered enchanted variant. Many thanks to my guildmate Okami for providing gun-making services!

The guildmates also helped me kick-start a new highlander long bow. The bow is r1 preforged and mike4488 was kind enough to provide me with the bow. On chance I happened to come across a stamp enchantment in a personal shop for 80k and purchased it with haste. Peterism provided me with the ancient powder wherein upon enchanting stamp onto the bow, it succeeded on the first and only try!

Stamp r1 HLB

The timing of this is quite convenient since my current Stiff Thorn Lotus highlander long bow is hovering around 5 durability – not exactly desirable but still usable nonetheless. Hopefully I’ll be able to get an effective range reforge on this bow as I hear its effect is quite pronounced. Though I’ll have to test it myself before reaching any conclusions, haha.

The last thing I’d like to mention is that I ran a “perfect” run of Defeat Fomor Commander 1 with my guildleader Jiihae. To me, a perfect run is when you don’t get hit by an enemy so I was pretty happy to finally achieve this feat in an elite level mission. I highly doubt that I’ll manage to perform the same endeavor in a Lord level mission but perhaps someday I’ll strive for such a thing!
